With the following articles, we invite you to explore traditions, landscapes, artisans, food, music, and history of the Vall d’en Bas.
In 2019, fourteen local students from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat de Girona joined the SomVallBas research team to conduct more than 600 interviews. During those intense eight weeks, they became fascinated by legends, recipes, individuals, songs, places, local sayings, and flavors. These articles tell those stories.
In addition, we have invited local historians, anthropologists, environmentalists, musicians, and journalists to illustrate their ties to the Vall d’en Bas.
The articles are written in Catalan or Castilian and English.
